Matador Digital was founded by a group of entrepreneurs who initially set out to establish a software and application development house specializing in the fin-tech industry. They, however, soon recognized a need in the South African market, which traditionally employed outdated, exclusive, and time-consuming methods for rewarding community involvement, most often only accessible to the elite.

Addressing this gap, Matador Digital developed the LoyaltyPay mobile application, which enables users to transact via QR codes at various participating retailers while simultaneously earning rewards. This innovation not only democratized access to rewards, but also streamlined the process, making it instantaneous and more inclusive.
